From FERODO LIMITED. Sheet No. 2 A.{Mr Adams} F.{Mr Friese} Martindale Esq., Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd. 29th December, 1936. variation in the coefficient of friction with most of our materials, we do eventually in every case arrive at a stable characteristic curve. Finally, with reference to the last paragraph in your letter, I should like to suggest to you that you examine VG.90 on your test rig, also Ferodo MZ. Both require a long period of running-in but both have medium low, stable and non-fading characteristics with every hour. If you will let me know exactly what you decide to test I will have these lines prepared without delay. I only wish we could test them here for you but it is a strange thing that try as we will we cannot produce squeal at all except very occasionally with MR. I thank you very much indeed for your New Year wishes and these are heartily reciprocated. Yours truly, FERODO LIMITED [Signature] Mongley Chief Chemist & Director. | ||
