With reference to EJJ/HC.8/EG. and ED{J. L. Edwards}/SWK/MC from W. Cannings & Co.Ltd., we now find we can increase the general usefulness of a motor-generator set by having the generator field self excited and so compounded as to give good regulation over a range of approximately 0-300 amperes at 15 volts. This would allow us to carry out starter motor endurance tests without appreciably effecting the load on other apparatus in the Laboratory and at the same time reduce the cost of the set. Will you please obtain quotations and information for such an apparatus.
