40/50 SHOCK DAMPERS.

We have heard from Bn.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} that there have been certain cars with governor control dampers which emit a kind of knocking noise when the control is in the hard. position.

We should like you to give us as much information as possible with regard to this complaint, which we gather is rather elusive.

If it is a trouble which is going to necessitate any alteration in design, we are very anxious to hear the complaint at the very earliest opportunity, so when you have a car which will demonstrate the trouble, will you please let me know at once; if necessary either 'phone or wire, and I will come up to London in order to hear it.
