Re: George Roberts - Chassis 79-TW.

This gentleman telephoned to-day to request that you might be informed that he had obtained and despatched to W. a second set of special plugs, invented by a Frenchman, about which he had such wonderful reports.

Originally Mr. Roberts obtained a set for us and informed us that if we were satisfied with them the inventor was prepared to give us the sole manufacturing and selling rights in England, and allow us, if we liked, to call it the Rolls-Royce plug. Mr. Roberts considered that a plug brought out in this way would have an enormous sale. Unfortunately, this first set of plugs was apparently lost at W., and the matter was hung up for about four months in consequence.

Mr. Roberts asked that you should be informed that the inventor was now becoming very impatient and would no longer consent to our having an option on the plug, as he was at present in treaty with a French Firm, for the rights in all countries.
