Report on Experiment No. 434
Tests of Napier Car by running over
obstacles on the track in a similar
manner to our own Pivot Tests.

Speed. 1.1lap per minute. 37 obstacles per lap.

Time running in minutes.

60 Near side front shock absorber arm twisted and the connecting joint broke away.

25 Off side did likewise.

60 Vertical pull rod on footbrake broke off at the beginning of the screwed part. (This seems to be a weak spot as we recently came across a Napier car 3 months old with this part broken in the same place).

15 Both silencer straps broke.
