AUTOFLUX PETROL PUMPS

Mr. Sleator has informed me that Hispano are fitting the Autoflux pump similar to the one he sent me, and a smaller one to 26 H.P. Hispano, Alfa Romeo on the 17.5 cc non supercharged and Bugatti 3 litre model. The glass container is replaced by a metal one. To obtain good slow running on the 12 cylinder Hispano a second filter or reservoir is fitted approx half way between the pump and the carburetter. This is to damp the impulses from the pump.

We enclose two photos of our pump unit as taken out of the car.

We have found during the afternoon's runs that sufficient petrol was not being delivored for maximum speed. Upon checking the pumps again we found one definately faulty in action. We are therefore to keep the car going fitting one of our original pumps. The pump in question is very sluggish We will dismantle this pump and try and ascertain the cause of its irregularity.
