B.4. cyl., the engine showed an increase of 7 C/B.HP. when compared with the power at the start of the 12 hrs. run.
It is possible therefore that the piston rings were partially gummed up during the running in.

After 24 hrs. further duration running, there are no signs of water leaks into the cylinders and no loss of power was experienced, beyond that traceable to B. side magneto which hindered further running.

The engine is at present being fitted with the new horizontal carburetters.
