EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}2/HP. 27th June 1933. Messrs. Park Ward & Co.Ltd. 473, High Road, Willesden, LONDON.N.W.10. Dear Sirs, Test Body for Bentley. ---------------------- We have received your drawing No.5668 for the proposed test body for the Bentley, and would like to make the following comments: (1) We have sent to you under separate cover a set of four Silver Ghost wing iron stubs and frame sockets, and we suggest that you should use these for attaching the rear wings to the body, as indicated on the blueprint which we left with you. (2) The spare wheel will be carried at the rear as drawn, but in a position so that the tyre clears the petrol tank by only half an inch. We will fit the dummy hub here in Derby if you will provide the necessary strength in the body, plus a bolt or two. (3) We have also sent to you under separate cover the actual sling hook so that you can determine the size and shape of the eyes in the roof. (4) Will you please note that we wish to have a very long rear light in the body and we wish to use an inside mirror. (5) The front wing will have to be fastened to the running board which will be extended far enough to match up with this. A single bolt fixing will suffice. (6) It is desired that all the windows shall be made to drop, and that the Triplex glass be used of 1/4" thickness. | ||
