Minute No.22.
Texolite Timing Gears.

Texolite Timing Gears were referred to and it was decided that these cannot be adopted yet as much development work is still necessary.

3½-LITRE BENTLEY.

Minute No.23.
Bentley Head Lamps.

Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} referring to the Bentley Head Lamps said that better looking lamps are desirable than those at present fitted and standardised and he stated that the P.100 Lucas Lamps etc. improve the appearance of the car. He said that they intended to try the P.100 lamps and if they are adopted it is desirable to shorten the lamp brackets.

The general opinion of the Derby members of the Conference was that the adoption of the P.100 lamps would involve an increase of weight and an increase in windage with no advantage in illuminating power; the only gain apparently, would be one of appearance solely.

Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} mentioned that it was very undesirable to add more weight at this point as the front of the car was certainly not over-stable as it is with the lighter lamps.
