for 10,000 mile test with a view to standardisation, but new commutator end plates will be required.

In regard to the position of the control brush, the higher output setting requires a control brush angle of 131° (i.e. an angle between the main positive brush and the control brush) whereas the lower output requires a control brush angle of 136°.

We suggest that two of the machines should be instructed for the higher output and one for the lower output.

As, I think, we have already intimated, the idea is that this one machine with two different end plates for two different control brush positions will ultimately become the standard to the exclusion of all others, and will permit of either the higher or lower output being given to clients according to their requirements.

So far we have no higher output machine for the S.S. chassis.
