To Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux} (Chateauroux) From Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 1062? Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}7/AP.24.8.37 Thank you for your memo re Holidays. I leave this entirely with you to fit in as the job demands. With regard to the Oldsmobile, I think you should have this at Chateauroux, as in my opinion, it helps the job considerably to have car to fetch parts from Paris etc. when the Works product may be in trouble. Therefore, will you collect the Oldsmobile from Elliott when he has finished is Holiday, and take it to Chateauroux. I should like you to run it hard and fast in hot weather on one of your straight stretches to see what figure you can get for oil temperature. If you could get in two or three thousand miles, it would give us a figure of merit for American cars when subjected to our type of running. Some spare brake shoes might keep the car running without frequent visits to The General Motors Depot. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Expect to see you shortly with the P.III. | ||
