EXPTL. 20/25 HP. CHASSIS INSTRUMENT BOARDS

We are endeavouring to bring up-to-date all the instrument boards on our exptl. 20/25 chassis.

Instructions have been issued for chassis 16-GIV and 18-GIV for new instrument boards to D.Sch.526 to be fitted, complete with Smith instrument patch and Smith instruments with new switchbox to D.52990.

There remains chassis 19-GIV which we now wish to bring up to date representative of U series production. This entails a new instrument board fitting with an R.R. 20/25 patch complete with instruments, new switchbox and new hand starting carburetter control and are asking By/RD to issue complete instructions for this board.

We cannot issue a standardisation sheet for the new R.R. instrument patch with Smith instruments which are going on production for U series without this car being fitted up and the patch tested under running conditions.

In fitting the Smith electric petrol gauge to 19-GIV the question of the tank unit to suit the gauge will have to be considered.

All the instruments which will be removed from 19-GIV should be sent into us in order that we can suitably dispose of same.
