On mixture distribution issues in SS and G4 induction pipes, proposing steam heating and hydraulic testing.

X.7070 X.5070 In examining the distribution we cannot help thinking that there is sure to be a difference with different speeds - i.e. suppose the mixture was rich at the ends at high speeds it might be rich at the middle at low speeds. Such a trouble might be very difficult to cater for. In the case of G.4. it should be quite easy to heat the jacket to any reasonable temperature by the use of steam. After testing it hydraulically to see what it would carry we might try steam pressure up to reasonable safety. The air temperature under the bonnet will sure to be in the neighbourhood of 50°C.
