Handwritten middle: oil filters 1139 Dear Roy{Sir Henry Royce}, In reply to your letter of the 25th November and referring to our recent discussion, I am convinced that the by-pass filter would be more suitable than the centrifugal filter for the engine which you had in view quite apart from the difficulties of manufacture. I would however, be very glad if you would send me detailed drawings apertaining to your drawing DES.220 in order that we may go into the matter for future consideration.
