-4- Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Std.11/MA.24.8.33 (3) Air Flow/press difference across valve curve for standard EB.222 head with guide vane fitted in port :- Owing to Phantom shrouded valve results, a guide vane was fitted in one port of an EB.222 head to make more of the air pass through the "inside" half of valve, and this curve was taken. (4) Air flow/press difference across valve curve for large inlet valve head - EB.615. Curve taken exactly as (1). (5) Air flow/press difference across valve curves for two different ports of standard EB.222 head :- Curves taken exactly as (1) to determine whether there were any radical differences between different ports of same head. (6) Air flow/press difference across valve curve for 30° inlet valve seat head - (EB.222 fitted with 30° seats.) :- Curve taken exactly as (1). (7) Air flow/press difference across valve curve for Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1045 (venturi type valve and seating) head :- Curve was taken exactly as (1) using a wooden full scale model (one port and combustion chamber) of head incorporating features shown on drawing Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1045 (Diagram (4) ) attached. (8) Air Flow/press difference across valve curve for increased area eccentric port head to LeC.3571:- Curve taken exactly as (1) using a wooden full scale model (one port and combustion chamber) incorporating features shown on drawing LeC.3571 (Diagram (5) ) Attached. | ||
