Dear Sirs,

Order Number 63622 - EB.3891/2/3/4.

We thank you for your Order Number 63622 dated the 8th June calling for Camshaft Bearings and shall be pleased to know if the dimension given for the bore is the finished size, as our general practice is to supply these Bearings with an allowance in the bore for reamering or broaching in position.

The Bearings would, of course, be finished on the outside diameter with our usual tin plated finish, and we should allow .005" on the outside diameter given on your prints for pressing in position. It has been found that this is the best method of supplying these Camshaft bearings as it is not a practical proposition to make precision Bearings for this application, and we would suggest, therefore, leaving our usual allowance of .012"/.015" in the bore for broaching or reamering in position.

We shall be pleased to have your agreement on this point in due course, when we will put the order in hand for delivery at the earliest possible moment.

Assuring you of our best attention at all times.

Yours faithfully,

VANDERVELL PRODUCTS LIMITED.
