Chassis Costs.

We find that we issue with the tool kits on all our cars an item described as a Schrader Universal pump connection, the price of which is given as 1/7d.

This is a right angle adapter which screws on to the tyre valve proper and has a fitment on it for applying a tyre pressure gauge.

We believe this was probably an advantage in the days when we used flat based rims and the tyre valves were difficult to fit a pump connection on owing to them being vertical to and in the centre of the flat wheel rim. Now however we use well base rims in which the tyre valves are placed at an angle and in consequence are extremely accessible. There does not therefore appear to be the slightest necessity for this fitment, and we suggest that it can be deleted from the tool kits immediately the present stock is used up.

If you agree with the above perhaps you will let us know and we will instruct accordingly.
