Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
Derby.

For the attention of Mr. Martindale.

Gentlemen,

Reverting to the favour of the appointment given to our Mr. Lund on Wednesday we wish to confirm the proposals made at that time, relation to our Brake Testing Equipment.

We have quite a number of installations up and down the country, considering that we are more or less in the initial stages of marketing this unit, and would be only too pleased to give you addresses where these can be inspected.

Mr. Lund's suggestion, which we believe you viewed favourably, was that we might lay down a Tester either at your Derby Works or at your Cricklewood Depot.

Our suggestion for this arrangement is that by this means you would be in a position to make prolonged tests which might, in addition to satisfying yourselves on the correctness of our design, be of some advantage in your own experiments.

As there is virtually no installation - the Tester can be erected in two hours, also no excavation or motive power required - we believe that you would prefer to have the advantage of either a Derby or London try-out, whilst we ourselves will be only too pleased to make these arrangements.

Handwritten addition: on a trial basis without any obligation to your Company.
