re. Tyre Noises, Vibrations etc. - Rapson Tyres.

We are very pleased to be able to report that in making comparative tests with noises which we feel are caused or accentuated by tyres, such as the "Pomeroy Burton groan", low speed period vibrations and general tyre noises on tarmacadam roads etc. these are very much improved, and so far as our present tests are concerned, are practically eliminated - with Rapson tyres -

We feel this is a point which should be seriously considered and tested out further, as we certainly have had several cases of complaint which we have been able to demonstrate have been due to the tyres, but at the same time must be appreciated have been the cause of customers being somewhat dissatisfied.

We are not recommending that we should recommend Rapson tyres as standard, as we feel that Rapson tyres have other disadvantages and do not give as good riding nor do we know the exact conditions as regards length of life etc. This, however, we feel is a point which is up to you to go further into.

In view of the trouble which we are experiencing with these vibrations and tyre noises, we do strongly recommend that some further investigation work should be carried out in connection with these tyres.
