Dear Sirs,

F.J.H.

Your Reference:- Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer}4/MH.{M. Huckerby}

We thank you for your letter of the 11th instant and are pleased to inform you that we are in a position to supply you with a Steel-backed Clevite material which is very suitable as a Bush for the proposition as indicated by you.

We should like to mention that this material is used exclusively in America on many well known makes of cars and has been standardised in England for some 2 1/2 years.

In this instance we would recommend our Clevite '10' which has the following specification:-

Lead 10.0 +- 1.0
Tin 10.0 +- 1.0
Zinc -
Copper Remainder
Impurities 0.4 max. (Including Iron and Zinc.)

We enclose herewith three drawings and samples of Bushings for your inspection, but unfortunately they are not made from Clevite '10', but they will serve as a purpose for your inspection.

For your information Clevite '10' can be loaded up to 2,500 lbs. to the square inch.
