G.CD.1270 Modifications to Clutch etc.
The clutch casing has been shortened by .125 in order to bring the gearbox nearer to the engine by this amount.
The position of the gearbox in the frame is now the same as the B.V. and B.50. The frame drilling for the gearbox support member and the inter. propeller shaft are the same for both the cast iron and aluminium engines.
The rear flange on the crankshaft has been moved forward by .150, and the rear bearing face on the crankcase shortened by the same amount. The clutch also has been brought forward .150, the flywheel rim position remaining unchanged.
The parts affected are the clutch casing and bottom cover, the flywheel, crankshaft and crankcase.
