X3896 In reply to your letter re the method of inspecting the amount of oil in the engine, we and most high class makers now prefer the gauge to the cock because it is quite clean and convenient, and will be much more often looked at, and has the enormous advantage of shewing how far away the oil level is from the maximum quantity.
