CARBURETTER FREEZING. X3933

We have been considering the possibilities of the diffusers in the carburetters freezing up under low temperature conditions and if the exposed diffuser tube is any more prone to this than the internal type as employed by Claudels in their AVT-70.

We should be interested to know what type of carburetter and carb. heating - also the type of diffuser - was employed by the French pilot who broke the altitude record. The engine we think was a supercharged Hispano.

you could let us have on the above subject.

We should appreciate very much any information
