To HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} 300a. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer}7/JH.23.2.37. PHANTOM III STEERING. The test reports on 35-EX complain of joggles on corners. This is because the side steering tube springs come to the end of this travel under these conditions. We wish to try the arrangement shown on the attached Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}330 which at the same time saves cost. Will you please detail this and make two sets of parts, one to be sent out to 35-EX. We should like these parts sent out to France as soon as possible as if they are satisfactory they can be standardised along with the Wraith wheel movement.
