SECRET. re SpectreCodename for Phantom III Petrol Filter. The test which is running in France has proved that the filter cannot be mounted on the dashboard, the under bonnet temperature causing vapour locks. There are very few alternative positions where we can mount the filter on the chassis to meet the requirements as regards accessibility, and yet be in a cool position. We have worked on a design as suggested by Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} placing the filter on the outside of the frame on the offside just forward of the hand brake lever and underneath the body valance, as shown on LeC.4645. It will necessitate a hinge door being provided in the valance for use when cleaning the filter. Will you please work to this modification for all your chassis in hand.
