RE USE OF HIGH COMPRESSION HEADS ON PHANTOM 11 CHASSIS.
-----------------------------------------------------

RIGHT-HAND.

The decision at the Conference in regard to the question of using high compression engines generally was as follows :-

1/- The 5 to 1 compression is to be used on all Continental chassis.

2/- It is not to be used on standard type cars for normal customers.

LEFT-HAND.

All left-hand cars are to be built up with high compression heads as soon as possible after the 76th chassis.

The main reason why we are not using the high compression engine on both types of R.H. car is that the Administration consider it essential to maintain a difference in power to the advantage of the Continental chassis, between the standard type car and the Continental.
