1229 W/LH.{Mr Haworth} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} RC.{R. Childs} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/R.4.4.39. re: Engine Oils. Many thanks for the sample of oil from WXA-36 duly received. We are particularly anxious to continue this test without changing the oil in the crankcase for 10,000 miles, if this is possible. Should, for any reason, the crankcase have to be drained, we should like the oil to be replaced. Alternatively, if the car for any reason goes out of commission, it would be of great assistance to us if the oil from the sump could be changed over to another car, and continue running.
