- 8 - The following work is of a general character, that is applicable to several chassis :- JOB. REMARKS. SECTION LEADER. Bijur system with other than foot control. } Tecalemit automatic lubrication unit, with drive and pipe layout. } Kinetic energy or other restrictor in damper control. } TWD.{T. W. D???Aeith} Lockheed gravity brake on clutch. } Methods of holding caps and discs on pressed steel wheels. } One scheme completed Pressed steel rear cross member instead of tubular. } Cheaper body mountings. } Armstrong Rear Dampers. ✓ } JD.{J. Draper - Frames} Lamps and Horns mounting bracket as a forging. } Overdrive gear box. Hdy.{William Hardy} RR. Lighting switch D.CD.834. } Layout of wiring between dash and instrument board and possibly provide a combined junction and fuze box to facilitate wiring at coachbuilders. } RD. Outside air intakes. Mc.S. In addition to the above, all these models have to be gone over with a view to eliminating duplication of parts as far as possible, so as to re-rationalise the programme. Frames required of reduced weight and stiffness at rear, and increased stiffness at front, with provision for a single propeller shaft, and exhaust system passing under the cross on all wheelbase. The the C.I. engines require installing in the 6 cylinder rationalised chassis, thus :- Basic induction system with air intake and silencer and controls. Connection for heater. 6 cylinder engine requires Wraith spring drive, and crankshaft damper putting inside crankcase, and/or a harmonic balancer with modified front end (single belt drive). [Handwritten: Wraith Damper Completed] Then there is the Bowers damper and spring drive without rubber. Exhaust system, and top and bottom water connections. The push rod operation for the petrol pump is not yet satisfactory. | ||
