1280 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.20/JH. 28th October, 1937. Messrs. Tufnol Ellison Insulations Ltd., Perry Bar, BIRMINGHAM. Dear Sirs, We are interested in obtaining a moulded filler cap (for an experimental radiator) of the form shown on attached drawing EXS.184. The cap can be made of any suitable plastic material and should be water, oil and Ethylene Glycol resisting. It has to screw into the adaptor enclosed herewith. We would very much like to hear from you as to whether you could easily make up one or two sample caps of this type for test purposes. We do not know whether you would be able to use the metallic adaptor for moulding the threaded portion, or whether this would involve new moulds. If the latter is the mase we would like to know the cost involved before deciding whether to make these caps or not. An early reply would be much appreciative. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
