X.4221 - "GOSHAWK II" - CRANKSHAFT.
In accordance with Mr Royce's requirements (E1/G.13.9.21), will you please instruct that wherever possible the front end of the crankshaft carrying the spring drive, should be machined the same diameter as the front journal bearing, as shown on the sketch below.
This is required for the new design of spring drive, which is in hand at West WitteringHenry Royce's home town.
