A standard crankcase casting should be used with the rear bearing stud holes drilled in the revised position, the oil supply pipe to rear bearing is altered to suit. The hollow dowels for both top and bottom halves of the standard bearings are not required for the Vandervell bearings, as they are located by tabs in slots.
