EXPERIMENTAL DEPARTMENT.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/TAS.{T. Allan Swinden}24/JH.

21st. February, 1939.

Messrs. Henry Wiggin & Co.Ltd.,
Thames House,
Millbank,
LONDON.S.W.1.

Dear Sirs,

We should be obliged if you would forward to us a copy of your Data Book concerning Wilco-Wiggin Thermometal.

We are primarily interested in a temperature range of 0 - 100°C, and we should be glad to know whether a bimetal strip is available which will withstand corrosion in

(a) water, and
(b) an antifreeze solution such as 40% glycol,

and if not whether a protective plating treatment completely upsets the characteristic of the thermometal.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
