To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} c. to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Std. x350 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer}7/KW.18.6.35. SpectreCodename for Phantom III Steering. We wish to have an R.R. Marles steering on SpectreCodename for Phantom III I in place of the La{L. A. Archer} Salle at present fitted, but we believe that at present you have not any more left-hand thread cams in stock. We are visiting the Adamant Engineering Co. on Thursday next, to discuss the question of altering the form of the cam track to improve the resistance to joggling. If as a result of this discussion we decide that the desired alteration can be made, we will ask them to supply a modified left-hand cam and we should like to use this on SpectreCodename for Phantom III I. In the meantime will you please make the necessary parts of the gear in anticipation of our receiving the cam at an early date. The gear should incorporate the modifications to N. Sch's 4492, 4464, and 4431. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/F.J.Hardy. | ||
