Dear Mr. Robotham,

I have been thinking over the question of the fuel for Hall's Bentley for the T.T. and find that you can either use a mixture of Shell and Benzole or "BP" Ethyl and Benzole, and would like to say that if you have no particular preference we should prefer, for publicity purposes, that the "BP" Ethyl - Benzole mixture was used.

The Ethyl - Benzole mixture should of course have the higher O.N. or H.U.C. and to this end I am having tests run on both fuels with our C.F.R. engines and will advise you of the results in the course of the next day or so, after which we will despatch to you right away the 50 gallons which, I believe, you said you would require for test purposes.

We shall be only too happy to give you any assistance we can in this matter. Personally I am, of course, very interested indeed, and if there is anything I can do I shall be very glad to hear from you, and if I can get over to Belfast for the race I shall be delighted to give you a hand.

Yours sincerely,
L.G. Callingham
