1. Arrangement of Vauxhall gearbox and rear axle.

1. Suggest consider designs for:-
(a) Floating damper ring carried on diaphragm from pressure plate (as patent application)
(b) Pressure plate mounted on double diaphragm thus eliminating friction on take-up.

Both these might be applied to the 4 finger ventilated clutch N.Sch.4998 as fitted to 32-EX.

1. Scheme and details required for fitting experimentally to Ph.III. an idler gear made from sheet phenolic material as opposed to the present moulded gear. Scheme suggested by Messrs Geo. Angus attached.

A.F.M. BRAKES
1. Dewandre Vacuum servo operated brakes on a Bentley II. Details of servo and leverages available.
2. G.M. type hydraulically operated front brakes and full Girling system on rear brakes to be fitted to a Bentley I. (i.e. 3½ litre engine, if available). Iron drums, steel shoes. Drawings of Chevrolet front brakes are available.
3. Small scheme of an additional 'pull on' spring on Ph.III. servo required to overcome judders complained of during running of 35-EX. in France and now occuring on 33-EX. Details wanted for test purposes.
