X.607 - EXIDE BATTERIES. X4288

On the question of faulty Exide batteries, and particularly in view of the attached note, it is considered advisable for a Conference to take place to thoroughly discuss this matter with a representative or representatives of the Chloride Company. It is proposed that the Conference take place at 2.15 p.m. next Thursday, the 13th inst., in Mr. Whitehead's office, and we should be glad if those to whom this note is addressed would say whether they would be able to attend this Conference at that time for this purpose.

The Chief Engineer of the Chloride Company, Mr. E.C. McKinnon, visited us yesterday and it has been arranged with him provisionally to attend this Conference, but it will be necessary to let him know definitely within the next few days if this will be convenient for those of us concerned.

The General Manager of the Chloride Company, Mr. Naylor, also wishes to be present at the Conference.

As I have to inform the Chloride Co. immediately I should be glad if you would let me have an answer to this note by return.

EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer}
