Variation in hydraulic restriction between radiators made to the same drawing.

Careful check on soldering and compression with which tubes erected.
Improved methods of testing finished radiator.

COMPARISON OF S.S. RADIATOR WITH LARGER GAPS BETWEEN TUBES.

TYPE OF RADIATOR. | CIRCULATION THROUGH MATRIX 2000 PUMP R.P.M.
---
S.S. Radiator 7/6 m/m Tubes 4" long. | 16.8 Gal./min.
S.S. Radiator 7/5½ m/m Tubes 4" long. | KW 17.9 Gal./min.
V.{VIENNA} Series 8/7 m/m Tubes 4.75" long. | 19.3 Gal./min.

This test was taken circulating water round the radiator only with a standard S.S. water pump. The results were obtained on three radiators only, a mean value taken on a number of radiators might therefore be slightly different.

LENGTH OF WATER SPACE TOP ROW OF TUBES.

Up to E.2 Series (4.75 long tubes.) E73892 3.8"
F.2 B Series onwards (4.25 tubes.) E76044 3.060"
S.S. (4.00 Tubes) E77065 2.810"
