| 1135 EXPERIMENTAL DEPARTMENT. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.10/JH. 15th August, 1938. The Goodyear Tyre & Rubber Co. Ltd., WOLVERHAMPTON. For the attention of K.E. Barton Esq. Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of 10th inst. the contents of which we have noted with interest. The writer would like to visit your works as suggested to see your belt manufacturing methods and in particular discuss the operating conditions of the belts for which you have quoted and which you think extremely high. Will you please indicate alternative dates which are suitable, either at the end of this week or beginning of next, when the writer will make an appointment. With regard to the quotation contained in your letter, the costs included tool charge as you explained - we would much prefer that you quoted a separate tool charge for each belt and a flat price for the belt - perhaps you will be good enough to let us have quotation in this form before the writer visits you.
