Referring to E/HDY.{William Hardy}1/HP.12.12.36 in our opinion the main pressing will be a very difficult one to press and maintain its angles, also the ends in relation to one another. Whilst the vulcanising of the rubber to the flat plates presents no difficulty we would not guarantee the parallilism of the blocks after vulcanising. This would result in a very unsatisfactory bedding with the machined portion of the clutch case and tend to put the engine out of line with the gear box. In view of our order office being committed for the whole of 'C' Series with Forgings G.82623/4 and we understand a new design making the engine and gear box one unit. We would suggest that we proceed with the present design until this modification is introduced. Handwritten bottom right: RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/TVT.{T. V. Turner} JVG | ||
