DODD'S INDICATOR.

During a recent visit to the Anglo-American Laboratory I was very impressed with the adaptability of the Dodd's Indicator for recording relative movements on mechanical parts in addition to its utility for pressure and detonation measurements.

I sent Towle there to go over the job and report and this is attached herewith. I am confident that with a little work spent on this instrument we can usefully apply it to many of our problems and would like your concurrence to go ahead with the trial set referred to which we need buy only if we are satisfied that it fulfils their claims. The cost will be £50 for detonation indicator only or £100 for the complete assembly necessary for detonation, pressure-time diagrams and for mechanical movements.
