Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Juli Vulture Petrol Tank - Outside Filler. We understand that when filling up the Vulture petrol tank, petrol comes out of the breather pipe. This was rather anticipated after the first design was issued, and a baffle was added in the filler casting, but we believe too late to be incorporated in this first car. The baffle is shown on N. Sch.3903. It is also very important that the breather pipe is looped in the body to a point higher than the top of the filler cap; we are not sure whether this has been done on the first car. These Vulture parts are to be used on the Bentley outside petrol tank filler and it is important that the above two features are incorporated in the details issued, as without them the scheme will not function correctly.
