Hancock - Head Chateauroux}3/JH. 27.2.36. Phantom III Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}5 Gearbox. The ball race noise has been improved and is now passable. GEARS. 2nd. This gear has suddenly developed the trouble of coming out of mesh, and will not stay in for any length of time. It comes out as soon as the load is released. SYNCHRO MESH. 2nd. The synchro mesh has failed. The symptoms are, the core has developed a ridge which is not allowing the full bedding of the core. Examination will prove whether this is correct or not.
