To: "Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}" WORKS. 4435 Levallois SrIO/Crn.21.II.34. re: 12 cylinder "Packard". Your memo. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}6/KW.17.II.34. I note with pleasure that "Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}" will be in Paris on Monday, the 26th inst., and would like to try the 12 cylinder "Packard" on the 27th inst. It is most unfortunate, however, that the Packard people, with whom I have been in communication, have informed me that they have not yet received their car, which was promised to them early in November. They are now at a loss to say whether or not they will have it by the 27th inst. They have very kindly offered to procure one of last year's 12 Cylinder models, but I do not think that this will be of interest to you. On the other hand, they have one of the very latest 12 cylinder "Packard" chassis at their Works, should "Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}" like to see it. This is not fitted with a body. I must apologize if I have put anybody to inconvenience, but I am sure you will appreciate that such things will happen !! Sr. [Left Margin Text] B E C K M A N 2 | ||
