O.S.I. is part of the Olivetti organization and makes body panelling usually in sheet steel but occasionally in fibre-glass; and also metal and plastic dies for such panelling. Fergat is an associated firm and makes chassis frames and wheels. Davis thinks they can offer good delivery and competitive costs because they have capacity made available by recession and because their man hours are cheap. Prototypes O.S.I. make prototypes as do Bertone and Farina but O.S.I. operate more as tool makers and less as stylists than do the others. O.S.I. do not work for B.M.C. because of agreements between B.M.C. and Farina but they have made prototypes for Fiat, Ford Cologne and Ford Dagenham. Continued ............. | ||
