Coil NO 4554 returned faulty from Repair dept.
This coil was handed to us by Mr. Brock for investigation the report being that it developed faulty on a chassis.
We have now examined this coil on the bench as follows:-
1) Production tested - secondary milliamps slightly high also primary current.
2) Primary + secondary resistances ascertained and found to be OK.
3) Run under normal conditions only on 14V battery for 50 hrs without any sign or suggestion of failure.
