R.R. 283A (1004-ES H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 7498 10-12-20) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 1947 ORIGINAL To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} Dal/M17.5.22. RECEIVED MAY 19 1922 GOSHAWK 11. REAR BRAKE SHOES. Yu157 Replying to yours of the 15th inst. re the riveting of the ferodo to the aluminium brake shoes, I certainly agree to using fewer rivets. I believe the number was not fixed by us originally, but was done at Derby and probably reduced down from the 40/50, so that there seems justification for trying a substantially reduced number. The special sample rivets for the Raybestos lining which you sent me seem also to be worth trying. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
