Dunlop Rim with removable flange for
Straight Side Tyre.

Referring to the remarks in yours EyS/PS. 21 and EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}'s note EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}6/H5.9.21, we are now in receipt of a letter from the Dunlop Rubber Co.Ltd. dated 21st inst. as follows:-

"The idea which you have sketched is one that "appeals to the writer and others who have already "seen it. We are having a flange made to the sketch "and shall write you again on the subject.

"Meantime, we hope that you will not have any "anxiety regarding the admittance of water, as the "rims will be well protected from rust, and as the "writer is assured the under-flap, which protects "the tyre, prevents the admittance of any moisture."

The above letter was signed by Col.Matthew. Upon receipt of the promised further letter, same will be communicated to you.

Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}
