X4021 EFC9/AD. 13th February, 1930. Messrs. North & Sons, Ltd. Whippendell Rd. Watford. Dear Sirs, As we rather anticipated from the results of our bench test, the performance of IS.12 magneto No.98034 on engine test does not come up to expectation, and therefore we are arranging for the quick despatch of this machine to you by passenger train and we trust you will do everything possible to improve the low and high speed sparking capabilities particularly in the advanced position, subsequently returning the machine at the earliest possible moment. Owing to the fact that a type test for which this machine is required is due to start on Tuesday morning, we should appreciate being able to receive this machine back sometime on Monday. You will note that the magneto is being returned to you minus the contact breaker cover. Can you please supply two further covers suitably arranged with stops as already explained in detail in our EFC4/AD. of today's date, for which covers we are asking our Order Office to supply an official order. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
