Some time ago the Ministry issued to us from Felixstowe approximately 390 gallons of Schneider Trophy fuel which we understand was used mainly in connection with the two special category tests carried out on "Kestrel" Engine No.25. Can you say how we stand as regards payment for this special spirit. What we have in mind is that if it was used during Air Ministry development contracts, the cost of fuel would be included in the contract price per hour and as the Ministry supplied this additional fuel it would appear that we should allow them a rebate for the fuel which was provided for in the contract price but not used.
