In order to observe the action that takes place between the teeth of the pinion and those on the flywheel at the moment of engagement, the scheme should be tested out on a rig consisting of crankcase and sump, bottom half clutch casing, crankshaft and gear ring, any scrap castings that you have, that are suitable, should be used and as the crankcase and shaft are standard Phantom parts there are scrap ones of each in No. 3 Inspection Dept. which could possibly be utilised. Attached hereto (EHC's copy) is a list of parts required, will you please put this in hand for one set. BY/RD HEW | ||
